Professional German Course for Non-Academic Healthcare Professions – Qualified
This specialized vocational language course aims for a B2-level and it is part of the Federal Government’s language support program under Section 45a of the German Residence Act. The course qualifies immigrants who have already completed vocational training in a non-academic healthcare profession in their home country (e.g. nursing, elderly care, midwifery or physiotherapy), have submitted or want to submit an application for professional recognition in Germany, and need to demonstrate B2-level German proficiency for this purpose.
Effective communication is crucial when practicing a healthcare profession because the interaction with patients, relatives, and colleagues is a central part of everyday work. This course focuses on developing the necessary language skills to be able to work in nursing and other healthcare professions. Participants learn to communicate confidently using everyday language but also professional and technical terms. The course comprises 600 teaching units and concludes with the telc B1-B2 Pflege exam.
